How long will a forensic investigation take?

The forensic investigation process and its duration will vary depending on the size and complexity of the investigation.

What does a forensic investigation consist of?

A forensic investigation will involve a number of processes, including an analysis of all relevant information and documentation, and the investigation and understanding of transactions entered into the general ledgers of the business entity. A reperformance of calculations and a reconstruction of financial information are also carried out. Where necessary, we calculate the quantum loss of an incident, which resulted in a loss of income or ability to generate income. Interviews are held with relevant individuals related to the incident. Once these procedures have been performed, we compile a report of our findings.

What is a forensic audit?

This is the examination and evaluation of a firm or individual’s financial information and records to derive evidence that can be used in a legal setting.
